Sustainability + Social Impact + Communications

About my work

My purpose is to influence people and organizations to protect our planet and its resources.

People are at the center of my work. I like connecting with new people and getting them excited about sustainable action. At Keep Texas Beautiful, I work with organizations of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, to engage their employees and empower Texans to improve their communities.

I like to do more with less. Organization and optimization are two of my favorite words. While at St. Edward’s University, I streamlined the data collection process from departments across multiple campuses for the annual greenhouse gas inventory and annual STARS sustainability report. The improved process and documentation made it easier for the university to measure the success of their sustainability initiatives.

Communication is a powerful tool and an art form. I work hard to understand an organization’s goals and how to connect with their audience to inspire action. It’s hard work that starts with listening and requires a relationship built on trust and transparency. I am constantly learning to be a better listener and communicator.

Get to know me

I grew up in a small town on the edge of the hill country in Texas. Since then I’ve lived and worked across the southwest. I don’t like to pick favorites but Arizona is one of the most biodiverse states and in one day you can ski and hike with cacti.

One of my favorite things to do is travel. I spend an obscene amount of time crafting detailed itineraries with photos, routes, points of interest, and alternate activities, just in case.

My bucket list is constantly growing but I’m fortunate enough to have crossed a few places off.
